The 2019 Chablis Les Fourneaux 1er Cru does not quite possess the delineation of some of the better wines that I encountered from this vineyard. The palate is balanced with a slightly honeyed entry, fine acidity and welcome spiciness, and touches of lemongrass and ginger lend complexity toward the finish. Give this 12–18 months in bottle to see if those aromatics up their game.
