The 2018 Chablis Mont de Milieu 1er Cru has a well-defined nose with perhaps the most mineralité of Charly Nicolle’s 2018s. The well-balanced palate is taut and fresh, delivering a fine line of acidity and a light tang of marmalade that enlivens the finish. There is a slight abruptness, but this should give a decade’s worth of drinking pleasure.
