Entirely barrel fermented (20% new French oak) with indigenous yeasts, the 2019 Chardonnay offers up attractive scents of toasted hazelnuts, grilled pear and ripe melon. Only medium-bodied, it nevertheless remains open and generous on the palate, round and welcoming, gliding to a gentle, citrusy close. Overall, it shows a fine sense of balance and restraint, making it a food-friendly Chardonnay for drinking over the next few years.
