Description

The 2017 Pommard 1er Cru Les Rugiens is the king of the cellar this year, unwinding in the glass with aromas of cassis, dark berries, plums, baking chocolate and spices. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, layered and muscular, with rich structuring tannins, fine concentration and a long, sapid finish. This is a serious effort that will reward bottle age.

Wine, for the most part, is a peculiar beverage and everything form the way the bottle is stored, to the way its opened; the way the cork is pulled, the decanter thats used and the glass its served in, can have an immense effect on the outcome.
