The Badia a Coltibuono 2020 Chianti Classico Riserva has a ripe fruit profile with baked cherry and redcurrant confit. The blend is 90% Sangiovese with Canaiolo, Ciliegiolo and Colorino. You definitely sense the heat and sunshine of the 2020 growing season. There are some raisiny or slightly oxidative notes to close, and I recommend a short drinking window as a result. This is a 36,000-bottle release.
