The 2022 Barbaresco Currà could turn out to be one of the surprises of the vintage. It shows all the nerviness that is such a signature of this site but also possesses terrific depth. Chalk, white flowers, mint, crushed rocks and slate play off a core of vibrant red-toned fruit. The aromatics here are especially beguiling, but the 2022 is still coming together. There will be no Riserva in 2022, so all the fruit went into this bottling.
