I really like the wines from this producer. There’s considerable sophistication, savoriness and class across their entire lineup. This is a fine, medium-bodied chardonnay with aromas of quince paste, cinnamon, cedar and some oatmeal lees. The oak is apparent but subtle. Stone fruit notes, pithy and taut. The acidity is juicy and palpably natural. This is far from the linear, reductive norm on these shores. Delicious drinking. Drink or hold. Screw cap.
