The Emilio Moro El Zarzal 2024 is a refined and "luminous" straw-yellow Godello from the Bierzo region of Spain. On the nose, it is highly expressive, featuring fresh aromas of apple and pear layered with subtle citrus notes of lemon and pink grapefruit, alongside delicate hints of white flowers and fennel. The palate is enveloping and fresh, offering a well-balanced mid-palate with a soft, slightly creamy texture derived from eight months of aging on its fine lees in large French oak foudres. It concludes with a lingering, mineral finish that includes a touch of salinity and a fine, gastronomic bitterness.
