The 2020 Gevrey-Chambertin Champs-Chenys has a perfumed and floral nose - peony and iris flower complementing the black cherry fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with pliant tannins, fine acidity, but then like the Clos Prieur Bas it clams up towards the finish and says "Come Back Later."
