Description

The 2001 Colheita Tawny Port is a roughly equal blend of Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Touriga Franca and Tinta Barroca coming in with 118 grams of residual sugar. Simply gorgeous, this focused and delectable Tawny dribbles its fruit and sugar over your palate. It is irresistible. At around 20 years in age, it is as fresh as a daisy with a bright feel. It's a Colheita that will have everyone drooling in ecstasy. While, as a young Colheita, it does not excel in complexity, it does a great job with what it has, and there's a big finish. After some warmth (and also after a couple of days open), the complexity is there too. At the same time, it has a remarkably reasonable price point. This is a can't-miss bargain if it actually comes into the marketplace at or near that price. This release was bottled in July 2020 with a bar-top cork.

Drink Guide
Appreciating wine can be enhanced even further if its stored and served correctly.

Wine, for the most part, is a peculiar beverage and everything form the way the bottle is stored, to the way its opened; the way the cork is pulled, the decanter thats used and the glass its served in, can have an immense effect on the outcome.

The sommeliers of PIVENE recommend the following for how to get the best out of this wine;
