Deep ruby colour; perfumes of red fruits (raspberry, cherry), blackcurrant, with a floral component (violet) and touches of spice. Elegant, balanced. The tannins are fine and silky. Fresh acidity supports the fruit. Mineral undertones and subtle spice. Medium to perhaps somewhat more full‐bodied for Vosne 1er Cru, but still with finesse. Long finish. Because of its structure, acidity, oak component and terroir, it should age well. Some sources say enjoyable now with decanting, but best rewards will come with cellaring into the next ~5‑10 years.
