The 2021 Chablis Fourchaume 1er Cru has a more vivacious bouquet than the 2021 Chablis Fourchaume from Domaine des Malandes, with citrus peel, honeysuckle and light flinty aromas. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, not a powerful Fourchaume but quite precise on the citrus and lemon sherbet tinged finish. Not a long-term wine, but it should provide several years' drinking pleasure. Tasted blind at the BIVB tasting in Chablis.
