There are still residual fermentation notes and plenty of reduction that together render the nose unreadable at present. Otherwise, the succulent, round and nicely vibrant flavors possess reasonable depth and persistence for a wine of this level. Note that my projected range assumes that the nose will clean up properly.
Note on Packaging: This bottle is finished without a traditional foil capsule. This is an intentional feature of Domaine Simon Bize’s 'Bize-dynamic' sustainability program, designed to reduce environmental impact while highlighting the organic purity of their wine.
