The 2021 Chablis Les Fourneaux 1er Cru nose offers orchard fruit mixed with chalk and sea spray scents, opening with gusto after a few swirls. The palate is well-balanced with orange rind and a touch of spice on the entry. Quite a lot of extract here, lending complexity to the finish. But unlike others, this will need a year or two in bottle.
