A relatively deeply pitched nose offers up notes of plum, violet, earth and whiffs of oak and the sauvage. I like the underlying sense of energy to the nicely detailed and lightly stony flavors that conclude in a mildly rustic and moderately austere finish that is a bit angular and spiky. I like the complexity though the balance isn't quite completely dialed in.
