Description

FWT is short for French Winemaking Trial. No varietal percentages for this blend from the Haut-Médoc. Matured for 14 months in French (44% new) and American (14% new) barriques. I wasn’t expecting to like this wine, but I do, particularly as its one that doesn’t demand any cellaring. The Penfolds’ stamp finishing the fermentation in the barrels may well be the secret to this and its Californian sibling, the Bin 704 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
